Of those starting to Learn Tarot Readings, there are four main groups, which broadly covers: Clarity, Growth, Helper, Fun.

If someone is experiencing some of life’s complexities, they may seek the Tarot to help clarify their path, and their potential options.  Others may want to learn Tarot reading to help in developing their inner connection, for better understanding, to contemplate life, and for self development.  There are those who are looking to read Tarot for other, perhaps as an adjunct to other skills, such as counselling.  And there are those who choose to learn Tarot purelyas an entertainment.

Of these four groups, there is a further distinction between those who wish to learn Tarot as a skill, and those who already have a psychic talent which they bring to their Tarot readings, usually as clairvoyants, clairaudients or clairsentients.  Tarot reading is also regarded as an excellent method to hone and improve psychic talent and intuitive abilities.

When selecting a Tarot Pack, examine the illustrations, and get a feel for the pack.  There are many different packs with a wide range of illustrations.   Find a Tarot Deck that feels right, where there is a feeling of connection.  A good start is to select the cards, one at a time, and meditate with each card.  Study the card, looking deep into the images and connecting with the messages within.  It is best to do this before reading anyone else’s interpretations of the cards.

The Tarot Deck consists of 78 cards, 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana.  It can be daunting to expect to remember the interpretations of each card, but with regular practice with the cards, the meanings will easily be triggered by the visual images.

An important part of Tarot Reading is the intricate inter-relationship between the cards.  The meanings are subtly changed by the other cards around, and also by the place in the Spread.

To Learn Tarot Reading, set aside time regularly to work with the cards.  Practice will reap rewards.  The benefits can be a greater development of psychic and intuitive skills, a better understanding of oneself, of others, and of the wonderful tapestry of life.
